Not one that agreed with me. Was on Bisoprolol 5 mg with Digoxin, Rivaroxaban and Ramapril. It affected my memory, started to forget things and remembering names was really bad. GP took me off them, I now take Diltiazem in place of the Digoxin. Memory returned to normal withing a few weeks. I did read a medical paper some time ago saying that it can cause memory problems. Quite a few on here take it, but it was not for me.

My mother had vascular dementia and although she was 89 we were coping with it as she had many lucid moments. Then her GP prescribed digoxin for her heart problem and within 2 weeks her dementia had advance so there were no more lucid moments. My sister and I believe that there was a connection, although the GP dismissed it out of hand :( . Neither my sister (who has AF) or myself will ever take it because of our fears for our minds.

Like Cassie, I didn't get on with Digoxin as it messed with my mind too. I felt I was going mad and would never take it again, but I know people who get on really well with it.

I didn't seem to have any side effects from Digoxin but it didn't do anything for my AFib so I'm now on something else.

Thank you for responses still not sure whether to collect my prescription for it my GPs seem reluctant to refer me back to cardiology. Will be having a 24hr monitor done next week.

What is an EP?

I have been on Digoxin ( lowest dose) once a day for about 6 months now and feel better than I did on a beta blocker. However, I was told to have a blood test every three months to check for digoxin blood toxicity but so far no problems.

If you have flutter and your not happy with GP insist on referral.

An Electrphysiologist (EP) is a consultant specialising in heart rhythm problems. Ask to be referred. Better than Cardiologist for Af.
