Hello! 😊. I have been having heart palpatations off and on for a few weeks. Had an EKG Tuesday which came back normal (I do have right bundle branch block). But, doc wants me wearing a zio patch for 14 days.

I'm a bit clueless...and should have asked her at the time, but why the monitor w a good EKG?

Ekg only records for a minute or two so it could have missed a problem.

The Zio patch will monitor 24/7 - because arrythmias, especially AF come and go it can be really hard to catch one on an ECG. The diagnosis and treatment is reliant upon an accurate ECG trace.

Hi. I had palpitations for over a year, some episodes lasting for a couple of minutes. Had 2 ECG which were normal. PAF was finally picked up on a 7 day monitor. It can be very difficult to catch!
