I am hoping to go to Peru for 12 days. I have looked at a couple of insurance quotes and I expect the price to be higher than someone with no medical issues but having told them about my AFib and high pressure, the quotes have been £205 and £220.

Is this pretty general?

Yes that sounds about right, mine went up by £90 when I was diagnosed with AFib, I've had a pacemaker fitted since, so I dread to think what they'll charge next time, but some people on here might be able to tell you the best company's to try. Enjoy your holiday.

Thanks. To be honest, with this condition I would rather be over insured when going to such a place but the cost does come as a bit of a shock!

I pay about £300 per annum for worldwide cover with SAGA for two of us, for a whole year. I'm 67, wife 60, me with AF, wife with nothing to report.

Sounds a lot for one trip on that basis maybe?

That maybe right, I was quoted about about £158 for a year. Your wife would have a much cheaper quote.
