Hi, just joined as I have started taking warfarin lately due to a PE on my lung and a blood clot in my lower leg! Having issues with my hair being frizzy.

Warfarin and my hair
There is a connection between Warfarin and brittle hair and nails as many will attest.
I have long blonde hair, taken warfarin for 4 years. True, my hair has thinned, I've lost a lot, but it's ok, you won't go bald. I don't have frizziness. How about getting a smooth and sleek shampoo and conditioner.
Yes thanks
Maybe you could take one of the NOACs, if appropriate, as i think they do not have this side effect.
With Afib, I have been on Warfarin for a year,,no problems until the last 2 months or so,,,,now I realize my hair is obviously thinning big time,,,yes,I just turned 70, but always had thick hair,,I now have definite thin spots at the temples and can find broken hairs in the sink when I brush my hair in the opening,,,the back is also very fine and checked with my hairdresser last week and she agrees,,,,,so be it,,,Warfarin works well for me so I do not plan to change yet,,,,time will tell,,,
No I don't want to change either as I really don't have any other side effects! Had the back cut short as it was frizzy too! I'm in my 60s too, thanks
