Hi, after few random high heart rate readings I started to monitor mom's heart rate via iwatch and app. It's constantly changing, sometimes jumping from 52 to 110 within few minutes. Mom was diagnosed with AFIB after her stroke in mid December. Her heart rate is always higher, between 80 to 115. Even when she sleeps. I thought the medication will fix it ... any advices? I'm new to this, don't really understand and worry a lot

Hi, watches like Fitbit / iwatch do not accurately record heart rate unless you are in sinus / normal rhythm. The irregular heartbeat confuses them and that is why the rate will always appear to change. The only way to get an accurate reading easily at home when in AF is through a Kardia device.
