Is this a new procedure

I get loads of emails and today I thought I would clear some out. Stumbled across a procedure called a 5 box TTM. Just Googled it and watched a you tube but the Doctor was talking about 2006 and 2008. This is in the usa. Can anyone throw some light on this as I have never seen anything on here. Be really interested to hear from anyone who has info. Regards Chris

A quick google said it was a Transtelephonic Monitoring device is that what you mean?

My understanding is that is implanted in the heart for monitoring after ablation to ensure AF was ablated and no recurrence without symptoms. They used this in a study to see if anti-coagulation was still required after successful ablation and I remember a fuss in the press about it around that time.
