You should experience no problem whatsoever provided that you go steady. I had 2 tiny holes in my groin and no bruising at all.

Very best wishes for a good outcome.

Hi, I had my ablation last Tuesday. You will be able to walk up the stairs. I have 2 tiny holes in my groin and some bruising round the top of my thigh.

Good luck for Thursday.

Thanks for your advice, at least wont have to sleep down stairs

Shouldn't be a problem Higgy, my EP said avoid flights of stairs in the hospital, so unless you live on the top floor of a block of flats with no lift, you will be fine. The small wounds are well dressed......best of luck,

No problem, step up one step with good leg, lift bad leg onto same step, repeat 😀

Hi Higgy,

I can only speak for myself, but l had no problem whatsoever. The hospital will keep an eye on your groin throughout your stay before they discharge you. Main thing is no lifting for 10 days to protect the groin and no driving for a few days.

Regards

Barry

I've had two ablations are both times I had large bruises on my legs. They were well bandaged when I left hospital and I was able to walk up my two flights of stairs without too much trouble. Just take it easy and try to rest is my advice.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes for you. Just take it easy for a few weeks and don't be disheartened if your heart is a bit grumpy for a while.
