Hello, I had an ablation in November 2016, with an overnight stay in hospital. I am 42 years old / male and need to organise travel insurance for a trip to France and the USA.
I would like to go away known if anything went wrong, that I am covered and insured.
Any recommendations please.

If you type in travel insurance in the Search AF box in the top rh corner you will find lots of helpful posts . So important that you do declare your full medical history here , particularly as you are visiting the US . Treatment for AF can be astronomical.

We use SAGA simply because we have expereince of them paying out on a claim and they were good on that occasion. We've got annual cover, not had a quote on a trip basis. They cover my AF.
I presume you're in the uk? I did some research recently and ended up using the travel insurance you get with one of the Nationwide current accounts, Flexplus, I think. It covers worldwide and declared medical conditions. I was also looking for 60 days rather than the normal 31, which many others don't cover. Really good service on the phone. Didn't need it, fortunately.
I use the travel insurance that comes with a Nationwide account too, but unfortunately it was one of the perks that ended last week (although not for existing account holders).
