Update on change of meds.

Hi all. I wrote on here nearly 3weeks ago about my GP eventually changing my Bisoprolol to Atenolol.

I have been feeling fine since then, no problems walking but still struggling a bit with hills and steps. Hopefully this will improve. I know I’m not fit but been more able to walk lately.

The only thing is I’ve had a headache for the last 3 days and haven’t suffered with them for years. So just wondering if it’s the change of meds. Any thoughts?

Hi there Suzy. Great that you have been feeling better but not so good about the headache! Hopefully someone will have some wise suggestions to make about any alternative explanation.

Thanks Rellim2. I’m feeling a lot better this evening. Just hoping it’s not going to be a regular thing.

I hope not! I 've taken atenolol for a very long time and would not wish to swap to something different.

I hope I am as lucky as you. I’ve already found that it lowers my heart rate more than Bisoprolol did. 👍

My heart is slow but I don't find it a problem. My feet get cold too and I have to take care of them in the winter and not let them freeze and develop chilblains. You need plenty of room in shoes and wellies and wear fluffy woolly socks. And never put chilly feet into hot water. Start with cool and add hot bit by bit with care.
