I had my Ablation two weeks ago it seems to be working except it has left me badly bruised covering the right thigh ,this I exspected but I have still got pain when lying down the clinic has told me this will disappear in time ,has any one else experienced this.

I don't think it's unusual, but check to see if the entry points look inflamed or feel tender. I wouldn't leave it too long before having it looked at. Also, don't be too surprised if you get a few irregular or rapid beats, it will take at least 3 months for the heart to fully recover from the procedure.

Hi, where is the pain, from the entry wound area or chest?, My leg bruising took a few weeks to disappear and felt a little sore but no pain.

The entry wound is fine ,no chest pain ,pain is only where the bruising is back of the thigh,been told by the clinic should get better as the bruising disappears .fingers crossed.

Oh boy, did I ever! I had my cryoablation in July of this year and ended up with a 9 pound hematoma that day. I know it was 9 pounds because they weighed me before the procedure and after, and I had been given no food or liquids. It hurt so badly that I could barely walk and had to hold my swollen thigh in my hands as I walked. Took weeks to calm down, although icing it, as the surgeon suggested, did help a little. I also had to use a pillow to cushion it when I sat or laid down. I feel your pain, but it will go away.

Thanks for the reply ,I am getting there bruising fading slowly and walking better.
