Some of the lfts are very sensitive and easily raised. Toxins especially alcohol and fatty deposits in the liver are some of the commonest reasons. Your GP will be monitoring and investigating and if the levels are very abnormal will involve the hospital. I used to find about 10% of people had mildly raised transaminases (les than 3 times the upper normal)
Diet and lifestyle were the commonest reasons. Never found one in relation to shingles vaccine
Okay..Thank you.Puts my mind at rest a little as they said it was anon urgent..presumably that means the levels were not too high.Have to repeat in 2 weeks.
Yes this is the common management. If levels are falling then just monitoring, otherwise consider liver scan and bloods for iron levels and hepatitis, lipids.
It is a common scenario. Nothing to do with af, but maybe the drugs you are taking. Many can upset the transaminases lft, especially Noacs.
