I use the Microfine Watch BP home monitor which is approved by NICE in Britain. This device will record Blood pressure, heart rate and AF. I can't comment on the Boots product.

Yes it looks good. The afib feature it promotes is for diagnosing af. However I presume it is also good for bp measuring in af.

The machine is a rebranded version of the micro life watch home A.see Amazon review

The omron m6 seems similar, has more sales, been around longer, better reviews and is half the price

Both devices are NICE approved

I have an Omron MIT Elite Plus it flashes up a heart symbol when it detects an irregular heartbeat. It then gives an error indication if it is not satisfied with the reading but Omron admit that BP readings are not always accurate when you are in AF. In the morning I often get several error signals before getting a reading, The 24 hour monitors usually do the same with me.

The consultant at the Hypertension Centre told me to take five readings over a ten minute period in the morning rather than the three that I had been taking,

I bought mine new in an Ebay auction for about £49, sold by a doctor who must have had it a freebie.

My BP seems quite erratic and been encouraged to check it at home . I bought a fairly basic Boots machine some years back for about £30 . I now find that it often gives up half way then attempt to start again or seems to work then comes up with EE. I am might need 5 goes to get two readings , which can be quite different I did wonder if the ectopics confuse it and a more sophisticated machine would be a better bet. Or if we would run into problems with any machine weather costing 30 quid or a 100

If it is not an af validated machine it is likely to have problems with measuring irregular heart beat from any cause.
