If you read the information leaflet that comes with Apixaban it will tell you if what you are experiencing is a common side effect. If it doesn't then you need to speak to your GP asap as a heavy feeling in the chest can be a symptom of something more serious.
Call your GP's surgery now please and explain your problem, that's what I would be doing.
Not heard of this before. I don't have a pack insert to read to find out if this is a side effect and can't remember reading this. I would read your pack insert and if you can't find anything there ask your pharmacist. All the best.
Thanks - yes I have read the patient information leaflet thoroughly and it is not mentioned. I did find something online about indigestion as a side effects but I'm not sure if that is what it feels like.
Call your pharmacist and ask them - they may of course suggest you go to your GP. Our pharmacist can make an earlier appointment with our GP than we could just by calling. Needs checking out.
It does say nausea is a side effect - so maybe it's that. The pharmacist telephoned me to ask how I was getting with it as it was a first prescription and I did tell her but she didn't seem to pick up on that.
