I have read that so not any more worried than I was. Just glad they caught it, I have had fluttery feelings and wondered for a while if that's what it was.
Waiting for iv flecanide , then probably a dcv this afternoon
Great news. Whilst DCCV is pretty straightforward so much better to revert naturally.
If it ultimately comes to a flutter ablation, some time in the future, it is more simple as it is the Right Atrium they are ablating - the first chamber of the heart the catheter enters.
They found both flutter and AF with my heart last time so ablated both left and right
They might consider both for you when the time comes now they have identified Flutter
Flec worked for me to convert once and since then Ive found a way to stay in NSR, so no need for standing dose. It can be complicated and a real challenge for us to find the cause, but there is a reason we have this condition. Until we find the cause, we wont find a cure.
I sometimes think that the mere mention of DCCV is enough to frighten us AF suffers back into NSR.

Sorry to hear this Mike, I think the bold thing to do would be to change your work/hours if you can. I appreciate any change is difficult and such a suggestion can be greeted with just negatives but I can only say I found it has helped a lot and I found new positives.
Good luck with your choice.
well, 4 days on Sotalol and I feel like I might as well just give up.
I can barely keep my eyes open, can't hold a train of thought, itchy skin, fingers feel like they are burning. Chronic diarrhea.
Do these symptoms go away? can't carry on like this.
My GP is useless and unwilling to talk about any "specialist drugs " so again I have had to pester my poor EP. Hopefully he will call at some point, but he's probably sick of me
Sorry to hear this. We get these troughs when nothing seems to be working and it all feels downhill, but it won't last and getting back to normal feels all the better when it happens.
