Hi,in UK you can buy a prepayment card,I had one for 10years before I became a pensioner, then meds are free!

Look on the Prescription pricing authority online or check with your Chemist!

thanks pete and everyone else

get a receipt from the chemist for any prescriptions you pay for between now and getting the card. You can then get them refunded. You can back date the start date to cover you for costs already incurred.

A good pharmacist will help you

ANYONE can buy a prepayment card. However, not everyone NEEDS to pay for prescriptions. Some illnesses give you an automatic free prescription for all drugs. For example, if you receive medication for diabetes, ALL your prescriptions are free. Others don't need to pay because you are on lower income, or because of their age. Check to see if you are exempt, and if you are not, buy a card! Everyone is able to pay in advance for their prescriptions!

Not what you're looking for?
