Can Afib lead to Vfib?

Can an episode of Afib lead to Vfib? From what I have read doing a bit of internet research it doesn't seem to be linked but I don't understand why. When i'm having a strong fast episode I get a sense of impending doom, I keep thinking that my heart is going to give up!

Nothing is ever impossible but extremely unlikely. It is a different type of electrical malfunction. What you experience is quite normal but not life threatening. Your heart may not be happy but it isn't going to stop . Try to relax. Read all you can and then you are not dealing with the unknown.

Your last sentence is more than a bit of an overstatement! If taking supplements to improve imbalances/deficiencies in electrolytes was all there was to it, I'm sure we'd be all be AF free in a heartbeat.
