6 min walk test failed

mother had breathing test shows no copd, however, she had 6 min walk test with oxygen and failed. sob walk hall chair, walk back down chair x 2. has afib and had chf bronchitis 6 wks ago help anyone

What did she fail on? If it was the heart rate, I had that many years ago on a treadmill and did not even get on the treadmill before my BPM went past the limit they set. Some chest infections can take some time to clear properly.

hi and thank you. it was for her oxygen use. when she started down the hall oxy level 91 drop to 84 percent. her oxy was pushed up to 3 l min on exertion and sleep. she does not have copd but mild asthma and takes advair twice day along with her afib. she is recovering from chf and bronchitis from 2 months ago here at home. her big prob is very very tired and short of breath. we will be seeing cardiologist tomorrow. anyone have this thank you everyone. i read your answers even though i may not respond. i thank you all.

I hope all goes well with your bike test. the cardiologist changed mom to amorodone 200 twice day. he is going to get her off cardizem 300 which she has been on since hospital in march. he will take her off cardizem 2 weeks as he has to wean her off. he stated the cardizem is aggravating her edema in legs thus short of breath. the cardiologist also added zaroslyn water pill added to her already lasix 60 3 days week. we are just starting this. if any one has this or went through this please reply. i am thankful for all replies for all my posts and i wish everyone no matter what you are going through better health always.
