All ok,...but how did I get this painful bruise...I don't think I upset the staff that much.
Any ideas? Is it normal?

Where is it? I can't see from the photo. Is it your right side? Wrong side for the pads. My only suggestion is that during cardioversion your whole body spasms and you may have banged whatever that is against the trolley. Just think of what you see in CASUALTY or Holby City and you will understand. I had to fake it for a film once and it can be quite dramatic.
Slight burns where the pads went are quite normal as well but these usually fade after a day or so with some "aftersun" lotion. I do know a lady who had quite bad burns whicb took ages to heal and we never really got to the bottom of that. We think there may have been some moisture under the pad which boiled.

Hi Bob. I had burns from a pad on lower right of my back (ablation) and was told by the EP that it was an air bubble caught there becos my back had not been shaved, which was an oversight.

Hi Bob
I tend to agree with you, and had already pretty much decided that it would be down to the body spasms. particularly as I had 2 hits.
I was just a bit surprised they didn't mention it......The pad burns are minimal compared to the bruising but what the heck???.... I'm still here to moan....Must be time for a reality check....Still love 'em to bits for an A1 job.
