Mary and Ian, two warfarin patients based in Scotland, have released a petition, calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to implement a National Service Delivery Model to ensure that all NHS boards have the resources to assess warfarin patients who request (i.e. self-present) for self-testing and/or self-management their condition.

Please sign if you support patient choice.

The campain website is a great site with lots of good information. I've signed up to the petition.

Both Coaguchek monitors and test strips should be available through the NHS. The NHS would end up saving money. As the site says, 80% of poorly controlled patients move into the well controlled category with self testing. That's fewer strokes and less need to move onto expensive NOACs.
