Mixed blessings

Had the most serious test of how successful my recent ablation has been yesterday. Was told my job has been "deleted" from the new structure at work. I think this a new term for being made redundant. Terrible news but throughout my little heart has been in NSR! Am so pleased about this that losing my job feels like a blessing!

What great news:)

You must have been not only shocked about your job but feeling very nervous about an AF starting. So glad for you it didn't.

Hi Sue - After a week in hospital with my AF I wondered if my stressful job was causing it and to be honest I just didn't want to go back there! I had also just started receiving my state pension and had been mulling over whether to retire. I gave in my notice while signed off from work and never went back, much to my employers disappointment. However, having had AF himself he understood and had been cured of AF after a second ablation at a London hospital with an EP Jas Gill. He's still well now - lucky thing.

I can honestly say it was the best thing I've ever done. So I can understand your feeling blessed at being made redundant. You had probably been wondering whether to leave your employment or not and it's such a relief to have had that decision made for you.

Look forward to a bit of relaxation and enjoying the sunny days ahead.

Best wishes

Jean

You will wonder, after a few weeks, where you found the time to go to work!

Enjoy being stress free. A job is a job your health is everything! Had to leave my job as a nurse a couple years ago ( which I loved by the way ) because of cancer and AF. Hurt for a while but now....dont miss it at all. No stress can do what I want when I want. However I am lucky enough to have a supportive husband. Otherwise Id be eating alot of beans on toast!!!!!

Hope it works out for you

Sue, a real shock to be restructured out of your job and well done for looking at a positive angle.

It can be the start of real restructuring for you - you have time for yourself, new hobbies and ideas and it's like being a teenager again! (Except for the blasted AF, of course).

Enjoy - and keep that heart steady. Best wishes

Sorry about your job but so pleased about your heart. Take care and if you need to find another job find one with as little stress as possible attached to it. Keep calm you will find your way through the employment situation. Your heart behaving is worth its weight in gold.

I am outraged that your Company has treated you in this horrible way. "Deleted" indeed..! They are all restructuring, that's the hard reality of business, but such an attitude is grossly insulting and humiliating. WELL DONE for weathering it so well so far. Keep faith in yourself. Good luck and God bless.
