Has anyone got any experience of this Betablocker? My EP has just changed me from Bisoproplol to this.

Yes I am and my EP prescribed it as if it was quite normal, but I went to 4 pharmacies that didn't have it in stock and eventually had to order it in. I have to say that after two days the results are quite promising.

I think that I should fill in the details in case anyone else searches for posts about Nadolol.

I have been on Bisoprolol 5mg for quite a few years and have had 3 RF ablations and one Cryo ablation. My PAF is much better than when it was when I was diagnosed 7 and a half years ago but I still get bouts of PAF.

Over the last few weeks I got two quite intense periods of PAF one of which got me sent home from work. They wanted to call an ambulance and I know the sensible thing is to go to hospital but Ive been there got the t shirt, and I knew I would be there for about two days.

I managed to bring forward my appointment with my EP and he decided to put me on Nadolol. Well after taking it for a week there is definitely a difference in the amount of AF I have noticed. In the past I would get a light episode most days but on the Nadolol I have just had a few flutters.

Now the down side: I am suffering from extreme tiredness!!! I returned to work on Monday and did 3 shifts (luckily I am off now for ten days) And today I can hardly walk ! I am stiff all over and my legs dont seem to want to take me anywhere.

I am hopeful that I am going through a period of adjustment and that during these 10 days my body will get used to it.

I have found patient.co.uk a good reference source. I came across it because my surgery uses the Patient Access (emis) system run by Patient as the login for all our appointments, repeat prescriptions, history, etc. It is very good.

Well we are all different but after a month I have decided to stop taking Nadalol. I cannot contact my EP, I cannot get an appointment with the GP so have decided to take the decision myself to go back to Bisoprolol.

The tiredness did not go away and I feel that I have wasted the last month of my life!!! Onwards and Upwards!!
