I'm taking Apixaban and would feel more reassured on hearing from others in a similar situation.

Anyone taking a new anticoagulant had a tooth out?
Hi, Im taking Rivaroxaban and had a tooth out about 18 months, I always mention taking it whenever it seems relevant and to be quite honest Ive
not had any problems at all. I have had lots of accidents in the garden etc
and I really wouldnt know any difference from before I took it. The wounds
from my recent ablation attempt were no problem, pressure was held on
for a little while and that was it. I must admit I was surprised but that was
my experience. I really wouldnt worry or mention it and see if they want
to miss a day. Dont envy you the tooth extraction, my was so bad the
rest of the dentists in the practice had to give a hand to try and get it
out, hope yours goes well. Good Luck.
I'm on Apixaban and was told to stop my Apixaban 2 days before my ablation perhaps the same thing might apply to your tooth extraction but it was just my experience. You need to ask the dentist!
Always, always tell anyone involved with your medical care that you are taking an anticoagulant. It's no use relying on them to notice it in your notes. You may be a 'bleeder' even pre Apixaban but rather be safe than sorry. That is the reason why we all carry anticoagulant warning cards whichever one we take. My GP gave me my completed card when I started on Apixaban but you can order them from this site. Good luck with the extraction.
The last time they took a tooth out it was fine they just put me in a room with a camera and an assistant poped in every 10 mins to see if it had stopped with all the wadding I had packed around it.
Same as the other answers. On rivaroxiban which takes 24 hours to leave the system so i stopped taking it 1 day before and 1 day after after the tooth extraction. The tooth took a bit of getting out but the bleeding stopped very soon after. The same as mentioned, I have had numerous accidental cuts which have stopped bleeding as normal
