Hi matt a lot on here have digestive problems as well as AF It seems they go hand in hand,It ,s something to do with the vagus nerve which goes from the stomach to the heart.I,m not saying thats definatly the problem but sorting out the digestion does seem to help with the AF in some cases

Apparently when I was in AF in A&E I mentioned wind and burping and the nurse just said yes the heart will do that. I always felt like something needed to pop!

Hi Matt. Yes! You are in good company. sometimes I feel as if my heart has migrated to my stomach as I get heartbeats (or it feels like it) there as well.

Hi Matt, I can't recall both dates but my AF started in 2008 and I have had chronic indigestion for a similar period. Loud burps some days more than others, not found the cause but as suggested already believe it is linked to the vagus nerve. I assume it is the body taking corrective action. On the other hand, although my AF episodes stopped in April after taking 200mg/day Flecainide, the burping hasn't.

I do infact I have had it for a couple of days. A strange feeling in my chest accompanied with burping. Also feeling dizzy when standing. It's scary and almost leads me into a panic attack!
