Thought a 'plaque test' showed how well you cleaned your teeth, but this link plactest.com/patients/about... tells you all about the Plac test with regards to risk of heart attack. Learn something new everyday don't you?

I think it is important to recognise that the link you gave us Cyril (thanks for that) is basically an advert for what appears to be an American company . Note the reference to FDA not NHS or NICE. I have never heard of this test in UK but could be wrong, We all need to understand that in a multi national forum such as this not all information is relevant to or own country.

I do know that when I asked a GP a while back if there was a test to judge risk of heart attack I was told not. He said that all they could do was check I wasn't having one at that time! lol

I also know that ultra sound testing of carotid arteries is done where there is a suspicion or reduced blood flow to the brain which may cause stroke. As you say. something new everyday.

It looks like they are a commercial lifestyle testing company. They only seem to talk about the negatives that the test can find. A good way of lightening the wallet methinks.
