My lousey sick week.....

Wen to clinic today, saw GP, the anticoagulant nurse and a Reg. from the hospital clinic. All agreed I was having a reaction to the warfarin, rare but possible. because I am on it as a precaution they have stopped it to get it out of my system. then I am to try another tab which does not require blood monitoring Rivoxiban. I said if I get similar side effects I will stop them. I would rather take my chances than feel as sick as I do.

Thank you so much to every one who offered me advice.

Rivaoxaban is nothing like warfarin, there are no diet restrictions and no blood monitoring. I have been on Dabigatran, a similar new anticoagulant for 10 months now and have had no side effects.

Do hope that works well for you as well, nothing worse if a med makes you feel worse!

Glad you are getting it sorted.I hope you will soon feel better. do let us know how you get on as I still have some issues which might be warfarin based. Best wishes.

How horrible for you to feel sick through taking warfarin. I have a feeling that you'll get on really well with your new tablets. I'm going to be starting a similar one soon too. Wishing you well.

I take Rivaroxaban and have no problems, unlike Warfarin. Hope you feel much better soon

Glad that your problem with warfarin is being sorted out! Best of luck with the Rivaroxaban.
