Are we talking AV node ablation here since you have been fitted with a pacemaker? I have no knowledge of pacemaker use prior to normal PVI ablations but do know that Mumknowsbest has had AV node and pacemaker but still gets AF as the pacemaker can't affect the atria as has been explained elsewhere.

Good to have you back by the way.

Bob

Hi poppystorey,I had my pacemaker fit June last year and my ablation in August,I didn,t really feel any difference after my PM fit and it took another 4 months after the ablation to start feeling any better although i,m feeling much better now and i,m glad I had the ablation,It really is nothing to bother about.Must also say at the time i was diagnosed with AF I was also told I had an ulcer and hiatus hernia so a lot of the feeling around the chest could have been acid reflux and I didn,t know.I have been back twice to have my PM checked and they have said I,m doing fine and they have altered the settings to go with my improvement.Hope it all works out for you, good luck Graham.

Hi Poppy ... Do you mean that you are having the AV node ablation in 6 weeks ? This was mentioned to me at one time i.e. pacemaker and then AV node ablation 6 weeks later. I have not had it done though. Sandra
