Retail offer of Blood Pressure Monitor.

From Thursday 12th of June Lidl is selling Speaking Blood Pressure Monitors for £19.99. The advertisement shows an upper arm cuff and states "With warning in case of possible cardiac arrhythmia." Batteries and storage pouch included.

These Thursday offers always have limited availability so if you want one then it would be best to visit a store on the first day .

I hope this is helpful - I don't have shares in Lidl, just a local store.

I got one of the Lidl ones a few years ago. It gets a wee bit confused at times with me being permanent AF and always flashes it's warning light to say that I have an irregular heart beat. I also have an Omron one, that I fell heir to some time ago. It's the same make that a lot of the hospitals use and certainly find it more accurate. Took it along to check it at my GP's with her using "the old fashioned method" and it was spot on.

So, most of the time the Lidl one will be ok, but if you get a reading that is away off what you normal is, then re-check. Also, I think the guidelines are that you should not do any more than three in quick succession.

That's very helpful. I have a wrist monitor which I have to use a couple of times to get a sensible reading. I thought that the Lidl one might be interesting as it was an upper arm cuff. It also said 'speaking' and I wondered what it might say - something along the lines of " ye gods, that's low" for me.

Hi everyone, I bought one of these this morning, seems okay, blood pressure optimal at 97 over 61, pulse steady at 75 and wait for it.......I have a possible cardiac arrhythmia !!!! I was hoping it would say nothing after having the ablation last week!!!!

I bought one too. It nearly cut my arm off and then said arrhythmia was detected. I'm glad it did say that as I knew I wasn't 100%. Actually I prefer my wrist monitor for convenience but it' s a clever purchase for the price.

I do hope that your recovery continues to go well.
