The purpose of this 7 day recording was for the EP to decide whether I needed ablation or pace and ablate. I saw the Cardiologist at our regional hospital to-day and expected to have the results. He explained that someone had filed everything away but he would ensure that the graphs were sent to the EP. He did say that 3 episodes were recorded including one of 36 hours. This does show that my heart is fibrillating when I am not aware of it. Due to see EP on May 9.

Me too. Been monitored 24/7 for over a week in hospital, and had bouts I could feel easily, then they went away. So I went to see my monitor before discharging myself, and it was all over the place but I couldn't feel a thing. It does make me wonder how common this is, and indeed would you even know without being monitored all the time? These new devices that tell the hospital when you're in arrhythmia could open a can of worms!

I've just had my first follow up appt at the hospital after my stroke and a fib diagnosis 5 months ago. I now know I'm in permanent a fib and they want to monitor my heart at some stage leading towards the ' shock treatment ' . After reading others experiences I'm in 2 minds about this ! I also am unaware when my heart is in a fib , in fact I have difficulty finding my pulse ! I really don't feel any different now than I did before this happened, except I get tired quicker , so I wait in anticipation
