Over the period, which included 2 hours cycling, an average bpm of 97 was recorded. So my Viazem will be increased to 360mg & in 6 - 8 weeks I will have ONE

cardioversion done.

So, will keep you posted!

In the mean time, any success stories with cardioversion?

I am sorry to say that CV fix for me got shorter after every one to the extent they stopped think about doing them. I am now waiting for a date for my Pace and Ablate.

Reverted back into AF after one week

I have now been put forward for a third cardio version but I'm not optimistic that it will be a long term solution. I could get lucky and it might last years but I have not heard from anyone where it has been a long term solution. I'm looking for an ablation from a Electro Physiologist as it has a far better long term success rate in managing AF.

If you are prescribed Amiodarone with your cardio version make sure you look up its side effects as it is described as a drug of last resort.
