Warfarin before food or after

Would like to know which is the best time to take Warfarin.

Makes no difference really but do it at the same time every day so you don't forget. I always take my pills before dinner in the evening.

I take them immediately after my evening meal when I have a drink available. They need swallowing very quicky as they taste vile. I wouldn't want them on an empty stomach.

I found warfarin made my stomach sore. Now I take them in the middle of breakfast and have no sore stomach at night.

I take mine last thing at night so its usually after food, but as I am not very good at remembering it can also be before I haven't found it makes any difference

I was instructed to take Warfarin at 6pm and was told it makes no difference if it's taken with or without food.

I set my mobile phone alarm for 18.00 hrs just before my evening meal, no problem.

Just remember to take it at the same time each day . You are less likely to forget then .

Always 6.30pm and after tea. Suits me and INR seems to keep reasonably stable. Like everything else, keep it regular.

I take mine last thing at night along with Simvastatin. Doxazosin, and my 2nd daily dose of Flecainide. It doesn't matter when you take it as long as you take it at the same time each day. For me it's easier to take it when I'm taking other tablets.

I've never tasted the Warfarin tablet but by far the worst tasting tablet I've ever had is Flecainide. It is vile, but works for me so I am happy to take it.
