Excellent little piece on AF on this evening's Look North. It emphasised warfarin as the best way to prevent strokes in AF and recommended checking your pulse and visiting your GP if it felt like 'morse code'.

Good to see the publicity! Although I was shocked to learn that this wasn't commonplace. I guess I must have just been lucky that I was put on warfarin in preparation for my cardioversion and subsequent Catheter Ablation (which, incidentally is this Monday at LGI - gulp!!). I'd assumed that warfarin was the norm if you were diagnosed with AF.
Liz, who is doing your ablation. We are in the LGI catchment area should I ever need to go down that route?? Took me 2 years to get onto warfarin as only had two episodes in that time and docs seemed unconcerned
