additional one when I have an episode It does not make me feel as ill as SVT which usually ended in hospital should I change medication
I am suffering episodes of A/F which ... - Atrial Fibrillati...
I am suffering episodes of A/F which last about an hour started after ablation in 2010 for SVT Am on Bisoprolol 5mg once daily but take
There are a variety of drugs that can be tried. You are on a beta blocker which just slows the heart down. There are rhythm control drugs which aim to stop the AF happening in the first place or an ablation for AF can be done. Talk to your EP and if you are only under a normal cardiologist go see and EP. While you are at it check if you need to be on anticoagulation by doing a CHADS2 score (see main website,) a stroke is the main risk from AF
Bob
Hi Bob I am on warfarin. I also have a partial blockage of one of the arteries in the heart, but after 4 angiograms say this may be an anatomical flap in artery wall but because of this wont put me on flecanide are there any other rhythm control drugs which would be suitable
I'm also suffering from frequent SVT attacks nearly daily recently since my first ablation
I'm on sotalol 40x40 , and additional 40 in case get SVT
Recently I'm having daily attacks even with this dose , I increased the dose to 80x80 and hope it may work
SVT is really annoying and very hard to deal with and sometime I had to go to ER , but actually they do nothing more than monitoring and awaiting where it lasts not more max an hour
I recommend to discuss with your doctor changing the medication , I noticed from others experiences that our bodies used to the dose by time and we may need to change or increase the dose
In my case I need another ablation soon , no other option available
All the best
