Oh well it was good while it lasted - my old mate AF kicked back in this morning. Must admit I'd forgotten how good normal rythym is but all is good only 16 days to go - hope the machine works this time

Oh no! What a bummer for you. As you said though, 16 days then hopefully NSR for a long, long time. The machine will work this time? Surely someone has learned the lesson of checking it out before trying it in a live situation? Take it easy x
Yeh but I've got to look at the funny side - at least I got off digoxin and bisoprolol and am feeling better. Those few days in NSR were worth it
Brian
Sorry to hear that Brian but it sounds as if at least you have something good to look forward to... Best of luck!
hi sorry to hear your news, i have af and awaiting a cardioversion in two weeks time i just wonderd what the machine you mentioned was and what does it do x sorry to appear a bit stupid but all new to me x i hope you feel some sort of normality soon x i oh and i came of bisoprasol made me feel awful take digoxin and veperamil now {excuse spelling} better mix for me x regards denise
How long has ablation worked for you. I am now in my 2nd year and to date all well. Wishing you all the very best. Beano 11
I guess you have to be optimistic in these situations- but at the same time, take a realistic view that AF can come back to us. I have at last been called up on Thursday, for initial assessment for cardioversion and the actual process on Saturday. I'm not holding my breath - but my normal optimism is shining through and hoping for a decent period of success. Here's hoping I come back with a cheerful message next time!
Funny isn't it - when I first went into AF I felt crap - then over time I adjusted and thought that was the norm. Then come the drugs and it was a battle working out whether it was the drugs or the AF that made me feel crap. Every time I ended in A & E ( which was so often I called my 2 nd home) I left either with a bigger dose of what I was on or another drug - no deletions.
It was so good to feel normal for those few days that I'm looking forward to the 4 December when it all happens again

Hi Brian - I know how you feel - was taken to hospital in Sept. with AF which had lasted 4 days!!! As I was going on holiday a week later - to say the least I was concerned!!Maybe it was seeing a great Doc or I relaxed due to the fact that I was in good hands it settled back to normal and was discharged AND went on holiday!!! But here we are again - 3 days before Christmas and ITS BACK. It is very difficult not to worry as we all know having AF increases the possibility of suffering from a stroke. I really do not need this now and will try to relax today and hope it will pass. Have a good Christmas and take care.. GIllyflower 13
