About to have cardioversion today, then cancelled for inr number. Been in range for weeks, not on the day. Fuming!

Hi Katgee

I understand your frustration, but if your INR is too low then it's not in your interests for the CV to go ahead.

It was explained to me that a CV can dislodge any clots which may have formed in the atria which is why they keep you in afterwards and keep an eye on you, and why they want the INR in range to assist to dissolve any clots, and/or treat them if they are dislodged

Wonder why your INR was suddenly too low though?

Have they re-booked you?

Hi Ian. Only out of range by 0.1, can't understand why it fell, such cruel disappointment. Wait for next letter & better luck next time.

Could of been a bit of stress or what you eat or did not eat/drink? wrong veg etc.

Oh Kat - How disappointing!! I'm having a cardioversion on the 20th November (all being well) and I'm paranoid about my INR levels staying over 2 so understand how you are feeling.

That is so frustrating. I have just completed my 4 week checks and hopefully go for the CV next week sometime. I've waited over a year for this so will be really disappointed if anything like that happens. Hope you get another app. sorted soon.

The pharmacist at my INR clinic said that stress increases the INR which probably accounted that mine was 3.4 on the day of my ablation.
