Anybody able to comment on this? Her HR is around 70-80 and she tells me it's mor ore less in NSR..... However she is quite breathless and it's scaring her.

Walking up some stairs today with my sister she had to sit down....she's breathless now, what is he 24 hr helpline like?

Will or should the breathlessness subside?

Cheers

Jamie

If it's any help I have found I'm a bit breathless for a little while after an attack... Probably for the heart it's like running a marathon! But it would be worth talking to the doctor if it carries on, for sure.

I get very breathless during a bad attack, and it is very scary. My doctor, and cardiologist have not prescribed any treatment except warfarin, and an antacid.

What medicine did they give at the hospital, anything new? Medicines react in different ways in different people. I would definitely ask advice from your own GP. If you are really worried call a dr to see her. Resting should help til tomorrow. Hope this helps. Terjo

Flecainide definitely made me so much worse that I could hardly walk on the level, never mind upstairs. It also made me dizzy and I felt totally ill when taking it. I saw my cardiologist for a follow-up after the attack that led to Flecainide being prescribed, and he told me to stop taking it immediately. It's not suitable for everyone. Your Mum should see someone straight away, or phone the cardiologist's secretary and get her to pass a message on.
