Pain in the head!!

Following a TIA a year ago and now on Amiodarone plus Pradaxa. For quite e few weeks have been having short very stabbing pains in side of head where blood clot occurred. The only way I have found to easy the pain quickly is to actually hit that particular point with a few sharp impacts of the hand. Any one else experienced this?

Dear Migmog

I would advise that you speak to your GP and report what you are experiencing. (S)he will be able to look into what is causing the stabbing pains and may be able to give you some pain killers. Hopefully, once it has been investigated, the underlying cause will be found and treated & this will prevent you having to hit those points, as this is undoubtedly uncomfortable for you. Should you have any questions please contact Patient Services on 01789 451837 or patientservices@afa.org.uk.

Kind regards

The Patient Services Team
