I was lucky yesterday to have been invited to attend the launch at House of Commons of a new infragraphic study on AF and stroke. Boehringer Ingleheim (spelling??) have produced a study which area by area in England shows the number of AF patients, the number of those at risk of stroke compared with the number on adequate anti-coagulation. along with the number of expected annual AF related new strokes and the cost to NHS of those strokes.. Each health area is separately listed and there is a comparison feature which allows you to compare one area with another . This should enable those who actually care enough about our nations health to make new strategies to improve the outcome for AF sufferers in England. If you want to view the study go to th companies website and on the opening page there is a link to the study. Very Interesting stuff..

Thank you to everyone who attended. It was great to meet you all.

We hope the AF Infographic will be yet another tool to encourage greater understanding of AF and how AF-related stroke risk could be reduced.

What do you all think of the website? afinfographic.co.uk/

Good to hear. Here's hoping AF profile continues to rise and new treatments are developed in support. Thanks for your hard work.

Thanks Bob and AFA that is a great study, reassuring that North West London seems at least better than the national average, even if not as good as it ought to be.

Well presented graphics as well, maybe I would have tried to break it down to constituencies, nothing will move an MP more than by telling him how many of his voters he is saving :)
