Hi Skary

I make no comment or judgment on these but first an article that says that cranberry juice probably doesn't do what you think

webmd.com/urinary-incontine...

Reasonably good source

and then one which gives an alternative

spiritofchange.org/alternat...

I do not know this site nor it's value so please read and take any actions with caution.

Hope this helps

Here is a link that may give you some other helpful tips. Most urologists here in the US tout water as being the absolute best thing for bladder/kidney health and here are some other thoughts including lots of things I pass along to my patients urology.about.com/od/infect...

hope it helps!

thank you Grandma....will look and see what's on there...always glad to get more info.

Have been to see cardiologist today and am no longer on warfarin due to the side effects I'm getting; was a little surprised at the change but am happy to give it a go. He's prescribed RIVAROXABAN ..( Xarelto) 2 x10mg a day . Apparently it's a new drug here...not sure about US...you always seem to be ahead of UK ! Will let everyone know how it goes....

Xarelto hasn't been out all that long here in the US either but has excellent stroke protection and is well tolerated by most. Good choice. Hope you do well on it. Let us know.

I got rid of a urinary infection with bicarbonate of soda! I took a tsp every morning in a glass of water, obviously won't taste anywhere near as nice as cranberry juice but it did the trick for me cheaply and effectively :) X

That is a popular home remedy to decrease the acidity of the urine. Glad it works for you!
