Hi John

Sorry to hear you had such a bad episode over the weekend, sounds very unpleasant, I remember you are fairly new to being diagnosed, when are you seeing your EP or cardiologist?.

Obviously go and see your GP asap, and then get to the cardio for a treatment plan,

I wish you the best

John,

Sounds like a nightmare. I've had that one many times. I think I could have lived with the fast irregular heartbeat but the crashing blood pressure is what got me every time. I always felt so tired and bad afterwards and it was always a few days before I was back up and running.

I remember you stating earlier that you were taking beta blockers. I would really want to speak to my Dr about a different type of med. The beta blockers do slow down your heart but they do nothing for stopping the AF so you will still have the attacks. I took them for over 9 years. Once I switched Drs and was put on rhythm control meds my life changed. I went from having 1 or 2 attacks a week back to having 1 or 2 a year or less. Rhythm control meds attempt to hold the heart in rhythm which effectively stops the AF from happening. It's not 100% but it sure slowed them down for me and I didn't have the tired feeling all of the time with them.

Hope you get something worked out soon and don't have to go through this again.

Tim
