Hi guys was just in for my pre op for hip replacement and was told the op would have to be postponed as blood pressure is too high waiting to hear from Dr to see what medication they are going to put me on, when I spoke to the nurse she said any of the treatments would not have any adverse effects with me on Zoladex and Biclutamide.Anyone been been through this, if so is there even more side effects?
Cheers

There are side effects but in my personal experience they are minimal. I use losartan. My BP was around 180 over 90. A few days later it was 115 over 65.
I haven't used Zoladex but have used Lupron and Firmagon and Orgovyx. I have used Casodex (bicalutamide).
Started ADT 1 year ago. Now I am on Losartan, starting two weeks ago. BP was 144 over 80. Now down to ~ 122/70. Started at 25mg and then bumped up to 50mg. No side effects and appears to be getting the job done.
ADT can cause HBP, I’ve always taken BP meds since it runs in the family, had to adjust them a couple of times over the past few years. Betta blockers had a lot of fatigue SE’s when I tried them, they also lowered my heart rate too much (I exercise daily and heart rate is already on the lower end). There were a couple of types drugs I was told to avoid because they can interfere with PCa drugs, I think they are in the group called ACE inhibitors, ARBs on the other hand are ok. Check with a knowledgeable prostate cancer oncologist.
Hi gave the hospital all the info of what drugs I was on I also suffer white coat syndrome which I thought was a wind up but apparently is true so as I said to the other guys I'm waiting for the Dr's to get back to me.
My BP is always higher in docs office too, I have a cuff at home and track it at home and bring results to docs office with me. iPhone has a health app on it that allows you to enter vitals so it’s easy to keep track.
