My friend, Paul Hovan, passed from this disease two hours before his 75th birthday I knew him more of my life than not. He was a music promoter in Vancouver and this is his obituary in Billboard Canada, also video of a song from his Celebration of Life. Whenever Linda Kidder was performing, he always requested Blue Bayou.
Randy - can you please add his name to your tile? Thanks.
May his soul rest in peace , this cancer always reminds me of the torture my father had to go through. The fitest person , with daily walk n no non veg no alcohol no tobacco in his life ever and simple prostate problem turned into cancer even under doctor's supervision. He has gone 3 yrs ago but still his family we all cannot believe it . People around us still remember him as most generous , humble and helpful person who had nothing to do with them still helped them a lot very quietly in financial trouble with his money n time
I’m sorry to read about this. Glad you knew him for so long though. The obituary was great, what an accomplished man in a challenging field. So many legends he worked with. It’s sad but wonderful to know a bit of how beloved he clearly was. We musicians cannot thrive without people like him. Thank you for sharing and again my deepest condolences.
