Unfortunately, this thread about medicare has turned into a rant fest. For that reason, and as we enter the holiday season, I am closing replies and posting this video of fun and hope. Darryl

This would seem shocking, if most of us didn’t know better.

An as most of us know, you can buy it for cash at about $100-200 a month with the right coupon.

Yep, the whole system is screwed up, and sadly, it will likely stay that way.

Oh no Trump will fix it all, he has a concept of a plan or maybe more than one. Who knew health care could be so complicated?

Yes Trump and the Trump team will fix it.

It will be fixed to benefit all and done quickly.

With Dr Oz and JFK Jr in charge, what can go wrong?

I do hope they do not confuse Medicare users with illegal immigrants.

It's a little better in Europe but not much (and we usually have less choice).

In Belgium there is only one price.

Zytiga is approx 560 euro per month (suspiciously generics are the same and the cost per gram is the same for all suppliers except one). All cancer meds are fully covered by universal insurance when the treatment is approved (no cost).

All drugs in Belgium and retail prices are here (pharmacist website - french or dutch, your browser should be able to translate it if you are interested). cbip.be/fr/chapters/14?frag...

Since I am not on an approved treatment I need to pay, I get mine from Germany where I pay 131 euro for 56x500mg, full retail.

Orgovyx (available since Nov 2023) for example is 170 euro per month in Belgium (I pay nothing). cbip.be/fr/chapters/6?frag=...

Such drug pricing is Not shocking. I live in the USA. What are we to do; vote? Capitalism in the medical industry is not driven by fair profits; but inmoral Greed. Is greed good?

Next time, please post something we don't know.

It can't get any worse than the what's currently going on.

You will find some disagreement on that point.
