Yes I took DCA for around 3to4 months my next scan revealed a reduction in the prostate tumer by 35% I do think it was due to the DCA. The down side were the side effects although lessened by taking the reccomended supps B1, Alpha lipoic acid and Carnitine I decided to stop and within a few weeks all SE's were gone. Good info site is ; dcaguide.org

Wow, that’s a good improvement! Thanks for the info. Might consider taking it then with the required supplements.

Dichloroacetate (DCA) is a man-made chemical that has been studied as a potential treatment for prostate cancer:

How DCA works

DCA can sensitize prostate cancer cells to radiation, and can also reduce cell counts in prostate cancer cell lines. DCA can also reverse mitochondrial remodeling and induce apoptosis in cancer cells.

How DCA is administered

DCA can be given orally or intravenously, and dosing ranges from 10–50 mg/kg daily. Patients may start at a lower dose and increase it slowly until they see benefit or experience adverse effects.

Potential side effects

DCA can be carcinogenic in laboratory mice and rats. Some case reports have noted that administering DCA orally in a 2 week on, 1 week off protocol can reduce adverse effects.

Combined with other treatments

DCA can be combined with other treatments, such as metformin, to reduce cell proliferation.

DCA has also been studied as a potential treatment for other types of cancer, including:

Lung carcinoid, Breast cancer, Neuroblastoma, Multiple myeloma, Kidney cancer, and Endometrial cancer.
