Here's a link to a Warning Letter that the FDA issued in 2016 in regards to marketing claims being made about DCA.

To my knowledge, there have been Zero clinical trials conducted in humans for prostate cancer indications, much less FDA approvals.
Yes, I used DCA for a six week treatment about a dozen years ago. I got about 3 and 1/2 years of good PSA readings without taking anything else. If you are daring enough to ignore the FDA, check this website
One word of caution, a side affect of Sodiium DCA is peripheral neuropathy. See my other post on for a series of drugs and supplements to handle neuropathy.
Watch where you buy DCA there are a lot bad sources out there.
DCA is being used in other countries. The US is behind the times because the FDA protects the profits of the drug industry.
I used DCA just after my PSA hit 10, and before I had a biopsy and Dx. I found my PSA did decrease by around 20% after about 4 weeks on DCA. No side FX, likely due to taking B6 as supplied by the DCA supplier. I do have some PN damage, most likely due to being wrongly prescribed Cipro for UTI, which I found later through a DNA based lab test was caused by ureaplasma. This is way too common, and there are class actions now re: Cipro. Docs know about the problem yet they keep prescribing it and not telling patients about the SEs.
I stopped taking DCA after an MRI confirmed a large PCa tumour, and after insisting on a TRUS biopsy using MRI data (apparently as good as a fusion TRUS biopsy), I was Dx with G (4+4) =8, and later, Stage 4, due to a suspected bone met. I decided to not mess around with treatments that may or may not work well enough against aggressive and advanced disease. I opted for 3 stage RT and brachytherapy with triple blockade ADT, at Dattoli Cancer Center, where I also took other meds and supplements. The research is pretty clear that hitting PCa hard early on gives better outcomes. In Canada, I was offered palliative care, Lupron shots with possible EBRT and long faced vague negative prognoses. Dattoli treats with curative intent, as do other enlightened centers in the US and elsewhere. I went there because a friend who is a 10 year PCa survivor recommended it. He and 2 men he became friends with went through the Dattoli program and all are cancer free 10 yers now. There are no guarantees with any PCa treatment program, but PCa treatment centers and docs are not created equal. If you have aggressive disease, I strongly suggest that you don't waste time and money on treatments which have little research support, and vague outcome claims.
Amazing, I just saw DCA on Amazon. That's is a great improvement over the last 12 years. It was difficult to get back then. The FDA shut down many sources back then.
My husband took about four cycles of DCA shortly after he was diagnosed. He was treated by Dr. Khan at Medicor Cancer Center in Toronto. medicorcancer.com/
He got a good reduction in PSA but the side effects were too much. Apparently the DCA IV has little to no side effects so we are keeping that in mind for the future if needed. There have been human studies and Dr. Khan will forward them to you - most have been done in Canada as I believe it was a Canadian doctor who first discovered DCA's used for cancer. I would definitely not recommend buying it yourself and self treating. If you want to do the oral and can't travel to Canada, you could have a SKYPE consult with Dr. Khan and he would mail you the medication.
