A lil catch up from several Sundays ago, whilst waiting for my Camino Tat appointment, I ventured to the Redondo Beach Pier and there was a Classic Car show 💙
Black bean clams with napa cabbage, gai lan (Chinese Broccoli) with oyster sauce, scallion pancakes (bought, not made😂), and baby bok choy. Tried a new beer - Taiwan Classic. Was fine
QoL on
Much Aloha and 💙 to y'all

great stuff buddy, the car show and especially that layout of VERY fresh seafood would make me crazy. I’ve been on a seafood tear in the last several days myself. lol. I always get seafood hunger when I’m over there at the coast lol. Once again some great QOL buddy. You da man.
Had to go to Kaiser today for my scheduled blood work, took out the echair on the Bruno truck carrier and every thing was smooth and extremely easy going. The mobility set-up worked perfect. The hammer in glee not having to push me in that wheeled chair anymore. Her lower back has a lot pain and pushing me aggravates it a lot. I feel like we can go everywhere now, between the echair and etrike. I felt pretty guilty when the hammer hurt herself taking me out. Not a problem anymore.
I went shopping on the etrike a couple days ago , over to the ( nearby , 4.9 mi ) Fresno State AG School Farm Store. They had some gigantic sized green , late harvest, table grapes that were super sweet delicious . A long line of customers waiting to get them, not a problem for me with my portable etrike seat . lol
After months of ( seemingly ) terminal sleeping and not leaving the house, I’ve been able to pull up my boot straps, cinch up the empty jock strap, and get out of the house again. Finally enjoying some QOL fun myself. Got several more forays coming in the next few days too. Ima going to wear that mobility gear out. Rotflol.
The point of all this, buddy, … after living vicariously thru your great QOL experiences, it stokes me to shake off the sleep and groggy, find ways to fix the hammer harm, and get out and enjoy life again. The etrike is too big to transport to the coast, but the echair is VERY easy. Gonna be stampedeing back over there too. Man you get out there and “ tear it up “ , and it makes me want to do it. I’m still kicking , ima want some of that too. Thank you buddy … keep on keep on keeping on.
Kaliber, great to hear from you....so glad you're feeling better and getting out for some QoL! You and The Hammer are role models for me. I hope the hub and I do as well when we need to. Sending love.
Big Guy , my oncologist has written a script for me for low dose estrogen patches , hoping to help with my OTT Xtandi SEs. Have you ever used them in all your years of experiences , what are your thoughts on them ? Preciate it little brother.
Oh cool, nope haven't used them. Others here have, you should do a post asking about it. I say try it and see, I know the Xtandi SEs are nasty and maybe those will ameliorate them
Kewl buddy, patched myself up at lunch time today. I’ll keep you posted. So far the “ pitch “ of the ever present hiss in my head , suddeny changed pitch ( not a stroke I hope rotflol ) …. and I’m “ dramatically “ more awake and alert this afternoon. I even went out into the garage ( off my ever insistent couch ) and unpacked and pre prepped a new set of batteries for installation in the etrike. Something I would never have done in recent weeks. I’d like to think it’s due to the patch, but it’s prolly a little concern a shoe will drop too. lol. It’s new, it’s a serious move …. I’m hoping for some of the results that many others here have raved about. I have caught myself browsing the purses on Amazon tho ….hummmmm . lol
Yea Amy’s intense hip grove lines were simply stunning. It was in her soul. Plus she had the “ trashy chic “ vibe totally nailed too. Talent like that is very rare and , sadly, sometimes meets an early demise. Too intense. You couldn’t take her home to mom, or get too attached to her, but you could take her to ANY jazz-blues venue in the world and she’d stun - wow them. 👠👍
Yea it’s bizarre isn’t it ? The magic 27 ( or so ). It seems like to have those special abilities, you have to sacrifice most of the rest of your life. Plus addiction to the extremes these artist experienced says a lot too. So sad.
Today is the first whole day of my transdermal estrogen treatment… it’s run up my BP ( which I’ve fixed ) to 181/ 97 …. my bg seems mostly the same …so far ( not very good to begin with ) …. Not nearly as groggy / sleepy as I have been … a lil bit of nausea …otherwise nothing special after just one whole day rotflol. Supposedly takes a week and a half to start producing. Soaked in the jacuzzi this morning and the patch stayed on perfectly. No issues at all. I’ll keep you posted if some good comes of it besides a blood clot or stroke 😂😂😂
That World of music is so wrought with drugs, booze, and sex, it would take huge discipline to turn that down. I had alcohol issues, but have cut back since the PCa dx, now light beer, unless I'm in Spain 😜 photos.app.goo.gl/sQbzrVPPV...
Okay cool about the SEs so far and here's to the patches working !!!
Awww Mahalo nui loa Sis💙, I enjoy QoLing and I'm always jazzed to take a ton of pix where ever I am for my own use as a Memory to look back on, but also to have my HU/FB Friends along with me😃.
That's why in Spain I started doin more first person videos, to have you there with me.
Not to be outdone by you guys.....I've had an adventurist and record breaking day last Thursday morning. I woke up in the morning.... hobbled over to the bathroom and peed in the toilet while standing up.....
I admire your abilities brother, you are fortunate. At least tho, a plastic bottle by your side 24/7 is handy enough that I can pee immediately without travel rotflol. Still , I admire that you can stand up and pee at all, good for you buddy. I’m glad for you. Seriously …
Oh crap, so sorry Big Bro that I'm so obtuse to NOT remember that your SEs from the meds have rendered you wheelchair/bed bound - you can't lift up a pee bucket :-(.
And LoL about that much pee from you overnight😜 I'm not close to filling it
rotflol …. Not bed bound buddy, but definitely can’t walk more than 5-10 feet without the knee’s buckling and / or leg muscles giving out and collapsing. No biggie, I’ve dealt with it , I still get around easily and get to where I want to go …. Not running any marathons or trekking like you do tho.
Well, if you can aim and hit a trash can you are doing WAY better than I am.lol. I don’t have enough penis left ,….. mine lost to ADT shrivel ( remember ima a super responder, what happens to most others happens a LOT more me ADT wise ). Heck, my poor tiny little pennie is so small, I can’t even stick(ey ) an external condom catheter on it. Rotflol. Worse, when it’s time to ( every 20 minutes to 45 minutes ) “ go “ , I have to go NOW. No holding it for later for me. When I’m out on the etrike or the echair, I keep a handy sized orange juice jug inside my baggy left pants leg, on the “ ready “ …. If it’s suddenly “ time “ to pee, I can turn to a private corner or put my privacy cover ( sheer black poncho ) over me for better privacy. Then take care of the pressing business easily. I get some “ looks “ sometimes but I don’t care …. It’s that or never leave the house and “ that’s “ not going to happen yet.
Considering all the above, …. When ima sitting at the sidewalk table ( on my etrike ) at my favorite taco shop, drinking a couplea Dos Equis, the “ need to go “ accelerates dramatically thanks to the beers. Rotflol. I expect it to happen and plan for it ( sit in a place where I can duck into privacy quick, have my privacy gear ready ).
Wow, and despite those trials and tribulations with the PCa and SEs, you still are upbeat, adaptive, whimsical. No dimming of your Human Spirit/Fortitude. You've taken this deadly PCa and made accommodations to still LIVE, to QoL
Yea, we got cocktail weenies now, but no BBQ sauce to go with it.😜
Very creative solutions/work arounds to be able to maintain a semblance of a normal life despite the nasty *ss SEs
