My father who was diagnosed with metastatic Gleason 10 , mets to bones, PCa in Feb. 2024 and currently on ADT(Abiraterone + Lupron) had experienced leg and hip pain on left side suddenly day before yesterday (21st Aug . 2024). His last PSA was 2.96 in Jun 2024(initially diagnosed at 79.5 PSA).
So i rushed to a urologist nearby and he has given some medicines(Etoricoxib Thiocolchicoside and Paracetamol aceclofenac) . After having 3 doses of it he is now felling ok today .
Can someone please help from their experience if it is Pain from Bone metastasis or some muscle pain .
Currently oncologist didn't suggest any bone strengthening injection like zoladronic acid .Is this required ?
will meet the oncologist next Wednesday after blood scan report .
Thanks for your kind suggestions 👍

First and foremost I am not a doctor nor am I a physical therapist that said your vague description of the pain can leave to speculation.
So here goes. If the pain originates at the back and top of the hip and travels down the leg it is probably a muscle and may actually be a sciatica induced pain.
I did not take the time to look up the drugs you mentioned but IF they are muscle relaxers and the pain has been alleviated or reduced then again that would leave me to suspect muscle.
I also have hip and leg pain but every doctor I’ve seen assures me it’s my degenerative spine stuff. Apparently one of the nerves being impinged on my case runs gown my left hip, right where I’m experiencing the pain.
On the first page of my cancer comic I have me grabbing by left hip, because I still associate it with my diagnosis.
