[ARX517] - Side effects - Acute kidney injury (AKI)

I participated in ARX517 after five dosages of ARX517.

What was told by the doctor

No Toxicity

I can take as much as I can tolerate

Minimum side effects: dry eye, dry mouth, and low blood platelet

What happens after five dosages of ARX517

Severe dry eye, dry mouth - I used an eye mask and other things to control the side effects. I am okay with it.

I recently visited my primary nephrologist, and she ran all reports to make sure I am not dealing with kidney issues because I had low sodium in the past. She found heavy protein in my urine. She called the Oncologist and confirmed too that the drug's side effects.

Now we are leading the entire kidney injuries, and also now I am doing a battle between Kidney Injuries and the infusion.

Questions

Should I stop the clinical trials and move on to something else?

How can I both together, I mean treatment for my Kidney and infusion?

Any advice for me? Any questions that I should ask my doctor team.

Please try to be positive. No negative comments

when you are speaking of kidney damage, did you do urine microalbumin tests and if so, what was your results.

After NSAID and cancer drug kidney damage , mine hovers around 300 … borderline OMG. ( uACR should be less than 30 ).

TIA

It’s difficult to figure out things sometimes when results come from different labs and have different names. lol thanks for posting . I don’t want to comment if I’m not sure what I’m seeing.

Preciate it

Does the protocol allow you to take a break while your kidneys heal?

You get a urine test for blood and protein.

stop the trial and obtain legal advice. Being told no toxicity is unethical.

I've had kidney injury, eGFR went as low as 24(16 can mean dialysis). It came back to the 50's, but it took some time. Is your PSA rising quickly without treatment ? As TA says, just take a break and see how your kidneys recover. If you return to the drug, check renal numbers often to stay on top of kidney function and take breaks when and if it dips. As has been noted in many treatment contexts, we all can react differently.
