diarrhea flares ?

My dad had radiation that ended in January. Currently on Lupron. Had his last shot July 7th and his PSA was .02.

He had a lot of issues post radiation, with diarrhea and gas, but that subsided and he has been good for a while. All the sudden these symptoms are happening again. When he had his last Lupron shot in April he did not experience these symptoms.

Just wanted to see others who have gone through radiation, have you experienced this— GI symptoms subsiding then starting back up again? Note: dad has followed up with his oncologist on this.

I had some late-term GU symptoms that lasted for about 3 months.

Question, did your dad have any sort of rectal spacer, like SpaceOar or Barrigel, installed prior to RT? My RO recommended one for me. It is getting placed today, as a matter of fact.
