ARASENS: more positive data about castration resistance

New article, but I think that I have already written about this...basically, it seems to delay castration resistance in prostate cancer.

"The analysis, which was performed to understand patient experiences post-progression, demonstrated that the median time to mCRPC was not reached (NR) in the triplet arm vs 19.1 months in the placebo group. Median OS was also NR vs 48.9 months in the triplet and placebo arms, respectively."

This article is a good reminder of what appears to be a broader principle in medicine: artful application of combination therapies can often produce more durable long-term responses (versus sequential therapies) although usually accompanied with more side effects.

This pattern has been seen in cancer treatment as well as other diseases, e.g., hypertension, diabetes, HIV.

With respect to cancer treatment, the idea is discussed in more depth here:

Thanks for sharing max! "Not reached" (NR) is a wonderful metric. This news in different ways has been showing up in the last couple of months. More motivation to exercise!

great work Max, thanks from us all i reckon.

The article recently about some procedure where magnets are used for targetted was hopeful. I understand all these things take years but still nice to read.

Does that mean when they shrink to the size of ARASENS it's time to cut them off?
