Assisted living costs and Aid and Attendance policy for Veterans

Good morning. For those fellow warriors who served our country thank you.  My dad is a former coast guard and served from 1960-1964. He was a corpsman and flew search and rescue. I had read about the "Aid and Attendance" policy several years ago that helps vets with long-term care costs. I read that only a small percentage of those vets that are eligible apply.

I was able to get my dad approved and it helps to cover the costs in his assisted living place. Please message me if you have questions.

Thanks again!

Good Work.............I tried getting into the Coast Guard (located in Queens NYC) in 1960 and it was easier becoming the POPE. (So I ended up a grunt).

P.s. Do you think you can get me a room next to his.....Thanks.
